Silvadec, a value-driven company

Silvadec seen by its managers, an entreprise facing the future

Driven by our enterprising spirit, we created Silvadec in 2001 by launching a new product, Silvadec wood composite, on the European market. By targeting innovation and the conquest of new markets, we are very pleased that our enterprise has become the European leader in composite wood. Aware of the huge ecological challenges facing us at the present time, we are committed to an active policy to reduce our environmental impact, as confirmed by our ISO 14001 certification obtained in 2014. Since it was founded, Silvadec has created more than 80 jobs in Europe. All our employees are fully committed with us to satisfy our customers.

By strengthening its financial, environmental and social investments through C2J, Silvadec has embarked on a strong sustainable development initiative. This enables Silvadec to:

  • ensure the origin and consistency of its wood flour over time,
  • secure the volumes required for international development
  • minimise CO2 emissions associated with transporting raw materials, as these are sourced locally.

A technology at the service of innovation

Silvadec is looking confidently towards the future, offering modulable and practical products combining modern and aesthetic materials with wood.

C2J: en route towards a circular economy

logoc2j-webThe Silvadec company created the C2J enterprise in 2014, a Joint Venture based on a partership with Josso, the largest sawmill in Brittany, to consolidate its development. C2J’s mission is to recycle products related to wood produced by the sawmill to make wood flour, which is the principle raw material of Silvadec composite wood.

Its purpose is to recycle sawmill by-products (wood chips and sawdust) into wood flour to be used in Silvadec composite boards. This enables Silvadec to:

  • ensure the origin and consistency of its wood flour over time,
  • secure the volumes required for international development
  • minimise CO2 emissions associated with transporting raw materials, as these are sourced locally.
